Wiltshire Swimming are proud to announce a number of our nominated personnel have won awards in the 2023 South West Regional Awards. One main winner and a number of runners up awards, see below.

Swimming Coach of the Year
Winner – Scott Garrett, Calne Alpha Four
The citation for Scott reads:
We are indebted to Scott. During COVID we lost 2 key coaches including the previous head coach, Scott took on the role without hesitation, motivating other coaches to keep the club going. Coming out of Covid with hugely depleted numbers, the last year had been about rebuilding the club. Scott has built links with the learn to swim programme and Primary Schools and our Academy is now thriving with numbers reaching previous levels. He has motivated parents to become coaches and increased volunteering participation, so we can run galas in order to continue to subsidise the sport for our swimmers.
